How it works

World state, not a decision tree

A small set of persistent flags is set by early decisions and resurfaces much later by name. Pay the ransom at minute 34 and the journalist asks about it at minute 88. Paths re-converge on narrative hubs, so around thirty authored injects produce combinatorial-feeling variety.

Time is mechanically load-bearing

Every option's benefit decays exponentially with how long the team takes, at a rate set per option. The report can then say something true: the decision was right, it was thirteen minutes late, and those minutes account for €2.1M.
